There are endless ways to enjoy LOCOCO — here are a few:

The Dessert Menu Cocktail

Try ‘The Dessert Menu,’ an adult hot chocolate like no other created by world renowned mixologist Charles Joly for the Official 2024 Ketel One Sundance Cocktail Collection. (Tasty with or without spirits!)

INGREDIENTS

1 oz Ketel One Vodka
½ oz Amaro Montenegro
2 TB of LOCOCO mix
8 oz of hot oat milk
Topped with coconut-banana-chai foam
Garnish: scraped cinnamon stick & orange zest

EQUIPMENT

  • Whipped cream canister charged with gas (NO2) or standing electric mixer

  • Handheld frother to blend cocoa + oat milk (or use a spoon or whisk + blend vigorously)

  • Tempered mug


STEPS

Make coconut-banana-chai foam

  1. Warm 4 oz spicy chai concentrate and add 4 oz sugar. Stir until dissolved (do not boil).

  2. Chop one very ripe banana and place into syrup. Stir, breaking up the banana to get maximum flavor. Steep in the syrup for 20 minutes. Strain out solids and allow syrup to cool.

  3. Combine 14 oz unsweetened coconut cream with 2 oz of syrup. Mix well for a smooth texture.

  4. Place in whipped cream canister, charge with whipped cream gas (NO2) and chill. Alternatively, whip the mixture by hand, a handheld frother or in an electric mixer.

Make ‘adult’ LOCOCO hot cocoa

  1. Pour Ketel One Vodka and Amaro Montenegro into a tempered mug.

  2. Add hot LOCOCO mixture (2 TB LOCOCO cocoa mix + 8oz hot oat milk).

Top with banana chai foam and garnish with orange zest and cinnamon.


Original LOCOCO Cocoa Recipe

INGREDIENTS

2 TB of LOCOCO mix
8 oz of hot water


EQUIPMENT

  • Handheld frother to blend (or use a spoon or whisk + blend vigorously)

  • Your favorite mug

STEPS

1. Bring 8 oz water to a boil

2. Add 2 TB of LOCOCO mix to a large mug or a pitcher

3. Pour in the 8 oz hot water to the mug or pitcher and blend

4. Enjoy!


Pumpkin Spice LOCOCO


INGREDIENTS

1-2 TB LOCOCO cocoa mix
4 oz water
2-3 TB pumpkin purée
8 oz oat milk (rec: @oatly Barista Blend)
1 TB sugar (rec: @lakanto powdered monkfruit sweetener)
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice mix (2:2:1 parts cinnamon, ginger + nutmeg—freshly ground whole nutmeg is best)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract


EQUIPMENT

STEPS

1. Make LOCOCO hot cocoa with 4 oz hot water (160-170 degrees F). Blend with handheld frother. Pour into your mug.

2. Make pumpkin spice oat milk: Heat the milk in a saucepan to 140-150 degrees F. While the oat milk simmers, add the pumpkin purée, sugar, spice mix, and vanilla extract. Blend with a powerful handheld frother (recommended: @subminimal NanoFoamer without the screen).

4. Immediately pour the pumpkin spice oat milk over the LOCOCO already in your mug.

5. Enjoy!


Iced MOCOCO


INGREDIENTS

2-3 TB of LOCOCO mix
4 oz of oat milk (Oatly brand recommended)
4 oz cold brew coffee
Ice - enough to fill your glass


EQUIPMENT

STEPS

1. Cold brew 4 oz of your favorite coffee.

2. Warm 4 oz oat milk in saucepan. Add 2-3 TB LOCOCO + blend into a dense oat-cocoa mixture with frother.

3. Add cold brew to blended oat-cocoa + blend again with frother.

4. Pour over ice into a glass.

5. Enjoy!




Earthy Oat LOCOCO Cocoa


INGREDIENTS

3 (generous) TB of LOCOCO mix

12 oz of oat milk (full-fat recommended — we like full-fat Oatly)


EQUIPMENT

  • Stove and saucepan

  • Immersion blender or handheld frother (or vigorous blending with a whisk or spoon)


STEPS

1. Heat 12 oz oat milk up to a boil in a saucepan with stove or kettle

2. Add LOCOCO mix to a large mug or a measuring pitcher

3. Pour the hot oat milk into the mug or pitcher and blend, then pour pitcher contents into a mug (if using pitcher)

4. Enjoy!




LOCOCO w/Fresh Coco Whip


INGREDIENTS

2 TB of LOCOCO mix
8 oz of hot oat milk
1 can of refrigerated (over night) full-fat coconut milk
Coconut sugar or monk fruit (to sweeten the whip to taste)
1 tsp vanilla Extract
Cinnamon to taste


EQUIPMENT

  • Electric or classic kettle

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

  • Your favorite mug

  • Handheld frother


STEPS

1. In a small saucepan, bring oat milk to a boil 

2. Place 3 generous TB of LOCOCO in a large mug or glass measuring pitcher 

3. Pour hot oat milk over LOCOCO mix + blend with handheld frother

4. Top off with fresh coco whip



For Fresh Coco Whip:

1. Chill a can of full-fat coconut milk or coconut cream in the refrigerator overnight (24 hours)

2. Scoop cool, hardened coconut cream into a metal mixing bowl. Leave any clear liquid behind!

3. Whip cream with a hand mixer or stand mixer until light peaks form

4. Add Vanilla Extract + Cinnamon

5. Sweeten with a little powdered monk fruit or raw coconut sugar




MO-COCO (LOCOCO coffee)


INGREDIENTS

.5-1 TB of LOCOCO mix

12 oz of your favorite coffee brewed your way

STEPS

1. Brew your fave cup of coffee your way

2. Add LOCOCO mix

3. Stir with handheld frother



LOCOCO Tequilero Cocktail


INGREDIENTS

2 TB of LOCOCO mix
1½ oz tequila (a Reposado tequila ideally)
6 oz boiling water
1 TB shredded coconut

EQUIPMENT

  • Your favorite mug

  • Electric or classic kettle

STEPS

1. Combine LOCOCO mix with boiling water in a heat-proof mug. Use handheld frother to blend.

2. Mix in tequila.

3. Top with shredded coconut.
